It’s been 11 days since I became a ‘tripawd’ and I’m doing great! Everyone keeps telling me how proud they are of me.
I had a pretty rough first week, suffering with some phantom pains and discomfort, Mum was super worried about me, but with a little tweak of my meds, I am now pretty much back to my normal goofy self. It’s like I’ve always been a tripawd!
Back to the vet tomorrow to (hopefully) have my stitches out! I have been a bit naughty trying to lick my wound, so Mum made me a washable waterproof patch to wear under my shirt. I’m not happy about it because I want to lick, it’s itchy, but Mum seems super happy that it’s managing to stop me doing any damage!
I can’t wait to be out and about running the fields on our farm again! It’s been so long!
It’s been a rollercoaster couple of weeks, but we are all so ready to embrace this new future we have ahead of us, and have lots of fun again!
Tonight, I am spending the evening resting up in front of the Aga, banking up the energy ready for my first adventure out in the fields again!
Monty, You are so beautiful. You look so much like My Brownie. He was a choc lab.
I know you can wait to get those stiches out and start playing again. But that day will be here soon, so hang in there!
You must post more pictures of your beautiful self!
Oh my goodness Monty! You are, indeed, a very handsome boy!!
Yes, the first cou of weeks are no picnic, that’s for sure. But it sounds like your sparkle is co back. And being a bit naughty is always a good sign!!
Still take it slow and steady, but you’ll be back full steam ahead in no time! I know you’re loving all the spoiling and snuggling though, so it a good trade off.
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Welcome to the club Monty, it’s so nice to meet you! I can tell you are gonna rock this new life, you look so good and you’re fit and healthy and handsome. I hope the recovery continues to be smooth sailing so you can get outside and having fun again. Keep us posted!
